Effective Friday, April 11, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time (PT), UtilityAPI will remove 23 utilities from our platform as part of a strategic shift to improve speed, reliability, and transparency across our service. This article outlines the details of this change, what it means for you, and how to prepare.

The following utilities have been removed:

Key Dates and Changes
April 1, 2025 – Step 1

These utilities were removed from:

The customer utility dropdown on the data request page

Your account’s authorization form
-

No new authorizations or reauthorizations could be created.
-
Existing authorizations remained active with limited support until April 11.
April 11, 2025 – Step 2
-
All data collection from these utilities will stop.

Any meters enrolled in Ongoing Monitoring for these utilities were automatically unenrolled.

All existing authorizations and meter data (except SVCE) will remain available until you choose to archive them.

SVCE data will remain accessible until May 7, 2025, after which all authorizations and meters will be permanently deleted.
What You Need to Do

Download any necessary data from affected utilities before it is permanently removed.

Review your current meters and authorizations and archive any that are no longer needed.
