Authorization Sizes

Not all authorizations are the same. Some utility accounts only have one meter (like a home), while others have hundreds (like a business campus). We categorize our authorization size into four size groups:

In effort to improve reliability and the overall customer experience of our SDGE web portal adapter, we are temporarily limiting authorization support for new or refreshed authorization to our small authorization size. 

Why This Change Matters

Segmenting authorization sizes allows us to:

• Set clearer expectations

• Prioritize support for our core users (e.g., solar & storage installers)

• Improve data reliability and speed

• Help users get the right data, faster
